Rafa has left the building …. Next up?

Rafael Benitez left Inter Milan officially today, the season hasn’t gone as expected. The Spaniard took over boasting he was going to improve a team that had won every major competition they’d competed for.

The ex-Liverpool boss did manage to win the FIFA Club World Cup 2010 last week after a 3-0 win over TP Mazembe. They also won the Italian Super Cup back in August after defeating Roma 3-1 but their league form hasn’t gone as planned. 

In their last six league games Inter have only collected five points out of a possible 18 which includes a 1-0 derby defeat against Milan and defeats against Lazio and Chievo. During that run the reigning champions also lost 3-0 to Werder Bremen, a defeat that meant they finished second to Tottenham in their Champions League group. 

So who will take over?
