Liverpool dealt blow as €8m defensive target opts to move elsewhere
Liverpool may not have lost a game in nine outings, but it looks as though they will miss out on centre-back target or Aurelien Chedjou, as the Cameroon international looks to join Galatasaray. The deal is a major blow for Reds who thought the deal was all but done after the 27-year-old’s comments recently to Sky Sports.
He said: “Nothing is done with any club. Yes, I want to move from Lille and get another experience of my life.Liverpool could be great. An enormous club with fantastic fans and the Kop to add.”
Perhaps he was just playing a late April fools joke on the Scousers.
Attention now focuses on the hefty-sized Kolo Toure who is available on a free transfer from Manchester City in the coming months, but another big name has just left his topflight club. Now, I say big name. I mean an absolute joke of a player who has had nothing but abuse throughout his playing days. Titus Malachi Bramble is the man I speak of, if you hadn’t guessed.
The 31-year-old calamity has been released by Sunderland and Paolo Di Canio looks to build something stable at the Stadium of light, although I would have thought that if anybody is used to a stable surrounding it would be that donkey.
