REPORT: Arsenal To Meet £15 million Release Clause, Chelsea On Alert Too

According to the latest reports, Arsenal are very much interested in signing highly-rated Valencia forward Paco Alcacer in the winter transfer window.

21-year-old young Spanish striker came into spotlight after some wonderful displays  for his club this season, scoring two goals and assisting two times in the process. Alcacer made his competitive debut for the Spanish national side last week.

Alcacer has all the required attributes like clinical finishing,  technique, and vision to be successful in any top leagues in the World.  Along with tremendous work rate, he also has good goal poaching skills, which makes him lethal inside the 18 yard box.

Important news here is the rising star from Valencia has a £15 million release-clause, which Arsenal are planning to activate in January. Arsenal are having big problems in their striker department. With Olivier Giroud’s long injury lay off, they have only Danny Welbeck, who is not a great finisher by any margin. The English star’s missed chances against Dortmund yesterday showed exactly why Arsenal need a good finisher up front to compete for major honours. Alcacer will be a good addition for the Gunners as he is young and also efficient before the goal. Typical Wenger type player.

But Arsenal need to act fast as their London rivals Chelsea are also keeping their tabs on Alcacer. Though Chelsea already have 3 good strikers (Costa, Drogba, and Remy), Alcacer will be a good future signing, may be a replacement for the ageing legend Didier Drogba.
