Former Arsenal left back Andre Santos has made a shocking switch to join the Football Revolution in India. The Brazilian has joined forces with the FC Goa franchise in the Indian Super League (ISL), the star studded tournament in the south Asia scheduled to start on October 12th. Former arsenal legend Robert Pires was named the Marquee player of the club and Brazilian Legend Zico is the manager of the side.

The Gunners misfit has been without a club since leaving Flamengo but spent two years at the Emirates. His time at Arsenal was best remembered for swapping shirts with Robin van Persie at half-time of a 2-1 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford. Van Persie incidentally scored in the clash. Santos made 13 Premier League starts but his fall from grace drew sharp glances in the Premier League, clearly showing the dangerous consequences of the Brazilian game.

Sadly, Santos was beaten up by a group of Flamengo fans furious after a 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Internacional, the result which meant Flamengo were at at the last position of the Campeonato Brasileiro. Two days after the FIFA World Cup 2014 ended, Santos was released. Santos’ career high came when he featured heavily in Brazil’s 2009 Confederations Cup-winning campaign

The ISL has already attracted a lot of former legends including Alessandro Del Piero alongside former France and Juventus striker David Trezeguet and the Spaniards Joan Capdevila and Luis Garcia.
