Arsenal preparing stunning deal to land World Class Striker in January

Arsenal’s dearth for strikers are well known. Manager Arsene Wenger is possibly one striker away from winning major silverware, yet the French Boss is reluctant to spend money in the transfer market when its required. The Gunners signed Danny Welbeck on deadline day of the summer transfer window but in reality they need a world class name to lead their line up front. English Tabloid METRO has some great news for the Emirates faithful as they claim that Arsenal are already working and are ready to launch a massive deal for PSG striker Edinson Cavani in the coming winter transfer window.

Former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has also ditched out some free advice to Cavani asking his national team mate to leave PSG as he has become a player who works for Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Suarez said, “He’s become a normal player who just works for Ibrahimovic. So, I think it would be better for him and the club [if Cavani were to leave] because Zlatan is more complete and stronger.”

The Uruguayn striker has been frustrated at the Parc De Princes having had to play out of position, specially on the wings under Laurent Blanc. Cavani thus would be looking for better opportunities elsewhere as he would want to play in his preferred position.

The story quotes a Spanish source claiming that senior Arsenal officials are now working on trying to do a deal with PSG. Cavani would easily fit into Arsenal’s side but his value would be easily near to the quoted figure of £55m as reported, which means he would become Arsenal’s all time expensive purchase. Having siad that though, Wenger would be reluctant to spend that crazy figure.

Arsenal have a plethora of injury concerns already and Wenger will have to rotate his side well enough if they are to compete with the best in the highest echelons of English Football or in the Champions League.
