Top Chelsea target close to join Arsenal: I love the Gunners

Finally it looks as if Arsenal can beat Chelsea. Not on the pitch, but in the transfer market. No we are not kidding! According to reports from English media outlet METRO have claimed that Stuttgart defender Antonio Rudiger could join Arsenal. This is because he loves the Gunners by heart and would prefer to move to the Emirates based club rather than join Chelsea.

The 20 year old has been reckoned and tipped as one the best upcoming centre backs in World Football and with Arsene Wenger’s interest in youngsters, Arsenal could move for the player in January. Arsenal have to currently deal with a huge injury crisis and apart from Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny do not have a centre back at their disposal.

Many Premier League teams are also chasing his signature. Chelsea are believed to have made him their top target for the upcoming winter transfer window but the player has made his intentions clear. there were reports that the Blues were also willing to offer £7m deal to Schalke to sign Rudiger.

But the defender has now said that he would prefer to join Arsenal instead. “I have always dreamed of the Premier League. I have been following Arsenal since the days of Henry and Bergkamp. I watch videos of Arsenal all the time on YouTube and I often wear the current Alexis Sanchez shirt. My heart beats for Arsenal.”
