£180,000-per-week contract can help Liverpool sign Arsenal and United target

According to English Media outlet METRO, Liverpool could well land Manchester United and Arsenal target Marco Reus in the coming future if they offer the German a £180,000-per-week contract. The report claims that the Reds are well ahead in their pursuit of Reus, who might be tempted to leave Borussia Dortmund in January thanks to the massive hike in salary.  Moreover, the German side are struggling in the Bundesliga are are currently way down in the standings.

Reus who suffered a serious injury and was ruled out of the World Cup in Brazil in the summer recently rejected a new contract from Dortmund. They are now concerned that a £20m release clause due to kick in at the end of the season. It may see them unable to hold onto their prized asset, who could be well on his move to the Premier League.

Bayern Munich are also interested in the player but is highly unlikely that Dortmund would let him go to the Bavarian giants after the recent departures of Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski. Manchester United and Arsenal are also interested in the player but Liverpool are reportedly ahead of the competition.
