Manchester United and Liverpool target set to move in the summer

Manchester United target Daley Sinkgraven is set to move abroad in the summer after impressing for SC Heerenveen this season. At the moment, Ajax and Liverpool are believed to be their direct rivals to sign 19-year old.

Sinkgraven’s teammate De Roon revealed recently that the attacker is a brilliant player and will eventually move on despite the club trying everything to keep him. He told Voetbal Primeur, “He is so nimble, he almost dances on the field.

“He can do anything with his left foot. Daley is a player, for whom people come to the stadium. I hope he stays during the winter, but in the summer he will surely move to a big club.”

Sinkgraven made his debut for the u21 Dutch side in September and revealed earlier in the week that the reports of clubs being interested in him were flattering,  “It is a compliment that there are so many clubs interested in me,” said Sinkgraven told Voetbal Primeur.

“Whether it is all true, we will have to wait and see,” he added.

United manager Louis Van Gaal wanted detailed scouting reports on the teenager after being impressed with his early showings for Heerenveen and could even sign him in January if his progress is good. He has made a total of 14 appearances for his side this season and has scored three goals. He has been a good creator for his side as well with 25 key passes to his name.

A move to Manchester United will depend on whether he feels if he could get into the first team as their line-up is already filled with quality attackers. The youngster had revealed that a move to Ajax will suit him as he want’s to play with the best team in Netherlands before eventually making the switch to other European giants, “I see it is a compliment that such big clubs are interested, I would first prefer to play at the top of the Netherlands. I think it is too soon to move to a foreign country. Ajax would be a nice step.”

Nevertheless, if United come in with a good offer then Heerenveen will have to sell. In Louis Van Gaal, Sinkgraven will definitely have a manager who he will benefit from as he knows how to incorporate the youth into the side.
