REVEALED! Arsenal Will Spend Big This Summer

David Dein has always played his part in the success of north London giants Arsenal and also helped launch the Premier League, changing English football forever. Prior to The Gunners tie against Monaco in the Champions League, Dein spoke to French newspaper L’Equipe about the league and how it has helped football in England grow.

L’Equipe cover stories relating to the finances available to English clubs, as a theme of their Tuesday newspaper. Within the paper is a picture of French midfielder Paul Pogba pictured in an Arsenal shirt. Some other well known personalities include Thomas Muller wearing the colours of Manchester City, Thiago Silva in Liverpool’s shirt, Lionel Messi in a Chelsea kit and Cristiano Ronaldo in Manchester United colours. The idea behind the article is that English clubs is going to have a lot of money in the upcoming transfer window and will look to buy the world’s top players.

Dein further claimed that the Gunners and their domestic rivals others can spend big and he stated,

“Many foreign clubs will remain competitive in the coming years, Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Bayern and PSG.”

“Paris is a great club, which is already in a good way, as evidenced in the knockout round against Chelsea on Tuesday. But English clubs, for sure, will be able to buy even more top players and most importantly invest in training future talents. Here, people like to see Alexis Sanchez, Eden Hazard and Angel Di Maria but they also want to cherish the house talents. In recent years, the Premier League has set up a program called Youth Development which bears fruit with the emergence of Jack Wilshere, of Raheem Sterling and the excellent Harry Kane.”
