Cologne being an important word in that last sentence, and an important place in Lukas Podolski’s life, with his previous experience of homesickness relating to the city.

It wasn’t long ago the attacker made a move big money to Bayern Munich, but soon got homesick and moved back to his beloved club.

If he is to become unhappy by moving 300 miles south within the same border, how is he going to cope living in a foreign country?

Gunners fans don’t hold your breath, the 26 year-old may be deliver the goods in front of goal but the English capital may not deliver the goods for him on a personal level.
