Zlatan brings Monopoly to life

“I’ll put a hotel on Mayfair please.” To many of us, uttering those victorious words is merely hammering down the final nails in the proverbial coffins for your fellow Monopoly players; where you brag about how much fake money you’ve accumulated over the course of the board game.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is bringing that popular franchise to life. Not only does the striker own a private island off the coast of his native country Sweden, he is now prepared to buy the five-star Parisian hotel Le Bristol in which he currently resides with partner Helena Seger.

That’s what the Paris Saint Germain forward has nonchalantly vowed to do if he can’t find a suitable apartment to buy in the French capital. The 188-room hotel is over three centuries old, but the 30-year-old is no stranger to big numbers, having cost a total of €170 million in transfer fees to various clubs throughout his playing career to date, making him the most costly journeyman of all time.
