Madrid’s inability to park the bus (Video)

Many years ago while at Chelsea, Jose Mourinho coined the term “to park the bus” and while this video isn’t strictly football-based, it is nicely ironic.

Mourinho came up with the term to express his frustration at how opposing teams came and played for a point at Stamford Bridge to stifle his Chelsea team.

Fast forward five or six years and Mourinho is now at Real Madrid who played Manchester City in the Champions League last week, winning 3-2.

Now for the irony.

This is a clip of the Madrid team bus parked up outside the Bernabeu stadium falling foul of a Madrid traffic warden who promptly issues a parking ticket.

Maybe getting David Moyes, an expert at parking the bus for Bolton at Stamford Bridge, as a coach driver could be the solution.
