In an age of 24/7, worldwide television coverage, man’s successes and failures are documented in double quick fashion which means football gaffes are now not the reserve of rubbish DVDs fronted by Danny Dyer at Christmas time, but are viewed all year round on YouTube.

Thankfully, this makes great news as there are countless opportunities to guffaw when we are a bit down and need a pick me up.

This own goal is one of those moments so, sit back, press play and think to yourself “at least my losing of that paperwork in the office today wasn’t filmed and put on the internet.”
