Bendtner to make his mark in Italy (Video)

Nicklas Bendtner is a player who seems to have been around forever.  Yet, at only 24 years of age, we can expect to be hearing his name for a few more years to come.

Having just left English football for the first time since he joined Arsenal in 2004, we may not see as much of the big Dane as we have done in recent seasons.  However, Bendtner has been given an opportunity to prove himself in Serie A, joining Italian champions Juventus on a season-long loan.

From playing in the Championship with Birmingham to the Champions League with Arsenal, Bendtner can already claim to have a wealth of experience under his belt.  He is also Denmark’s talismanic striker and played every minute of his country’s Euro 2012 campaign, scoring two goals in three games.

Despite his fair share of critics, Bendtner has a decent goal-scoring record for club and country.  The forward often comes across as a cocky individual, with some of his comments and behaviour off the pitch having caused controversy.  After joining Sunderland on loan last season, he was reported to have said that he will never play for Arsenal again due to a lack of chances in the first team since he was involved in a car accident.

It would be wise, then, for the striker to make his mark in Italy if he hopes to earn a permanent move away from the Emirates.  Whether he does or not is yet to be seen, but here is a reminder of exactly what Nicklas Bendtner is capable of.
