On Saturday Fulham’s Brian Ruiz curled an exquisite free kick over the Everton wall and onto the post. It bounced off, hit goalkeeper Tim Howard on the back and trundled into the net. Who would be a goalkeeper?
However there have been many many more embarrassing howlers by goalkeepers over the years, Paul Robinson in Croatia, Roy Carroll against Tottenham or anything involving David James.
That may be slightly unfair on James but you don’t earn the nickname “Calamity” for nothing.
Here’s one of the worst and again it involves Tim Howard, only luckily for him this time he’s not on the receiving end.
