West Brom- European Contenders

After West Brom’s incredible start to the 2012/13 campaign, it has a lot of people wondering whether they can challenge for a European spot come the end of the season.

There are a host of clubs in and around the top half of the Premier League table at the moment that have surprised early on (Everton, Fulham and West Ham to name a few), but West Brom, in my opinion, have been playing the most exciting football thus far. Previous seasons have seen the Baggies labeled as something as a ‘yo-yo club’, but since Roy Hodgson’s brief spell in charge and the arrival of Steve Clarke in the summer, they seem to have really solidified their position as a Premier League side.

With the arrivals of players such as Yacob and Lukaku (on loan from Chelsea) in the summer and solid, consistent performances from players such as Shane Long, James Morrison and Jonas Olsson, it’s no wonder Albion have finally started to claim a few scalps in the top flight.

I, personally, believe West Brom have what it takes to get into the Europa League next year if they can continue the fantastic form they’ve been in as of late, and can keep their key players fit.
