The Frenchman to ease the Everton striking burden (Video)

Everton’s striking concerns have at times proved evident in recent seasons. Up until the signing of Nikica Jelavic, the Toffees often relied on the inconsistency of Victor Anichebe and the injury prone James Vaughan.

Nevertheless, the arrival of the Croatian has eased the striking worries placed upon David Moyes’ shoulders, with the former Rangers ace netting 17 times since his move to Goodison Park almost a year ago.

However, Moyes, it has to be said, is still keen on bringing in another front-man to ease the burden on Jelavic. With it, Everton have been linked with a January loan move for Paris St. Germain striker Kevin Gameiro.

The 25-year-old has seen his playing time fairly limited in French capital following the big money acquisitions of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Javier Pastore and Ezequiel Lavezzi. With it, head coach Carlo Ancelotti appears willing to sanction a loan move for Gameiro as he looks to secure first-team football.

The France international still has the capability to make an impact on any team, having netted four times for PSG this season regardless of his lack of first-team action. With his exploits, Moyes could definitely benefit from the Frenchman in his squad, while his goals will surely lighten the load on Jelavic’s shoulders.
