It’s fair to say Queens’ Park Rangers are in deep trouble this season. The 3-0 loss to Liverpool on Sunday left them rooted to the bottom of the table, eight points from safety. Harry Redknapp insists the job is one of the hardest of his managerial career, but remains confident they can secure their Premier League status this season.
That’s easier said than done, especially with the performance the players put in. QPR looked lacklustre and lackadaisical in one of the most dominating displays from the Reds of the current season.
Expectantly, with the transfer window set to open again tomorrow, the R’s have been linked with a host of big money moves to stave off the threat of relegation. While Joe Cole is supposedly in talks about a possible move to Loftus Road, it was one name that is grasping the attention of fans.
Rennes midfielder Yann M’Vila was linked with a big money move to Arsenal over the summer, but a spectacular fall from grace for the Frenchman has seen him banned from turning for France for the foreseeable future, his future with the Ligue 1 side appears bleak as a result.
QPR could certainly do with some steel in midfield and M’Vila is exactly the player to bring that. Should he be available relatively cheaply, his arrival could be a real coup for the West London side as they look to preserve their Premier League future.
