Tis the season for copious amounts of transfer rumours. With the January transfer window in full swing, it’s no surprise to see a number of named club’s linked with moves for players across the continent. One of those is Tottenham Hotspur, who are often mooted with potential switch for stars from Europe.
Despite securing the signatures of Ezekiel Fryers and Lewis Holtby earlier this month, the latter of whom will arrive in the summer, the north London side are continuously been mooted with moves for a number of player’s currently making a name for themselves in the game at present.
One of those is Younes Belhanda of Montpellier. The Morocco international has won over the plaudits of many a fan over the past 18 months with numerous impressive performances for the Ligue Un outfit and it’s no surprise to see teams interested in the 22-year-old.
Fenerbache were believed to have won the race to sign the attacking midfielder, but Spurs have been credited with a late interest in Belhanda as they look to bolster their ranks ahead of the business end to the season.
Andre Villas-Boas’ side have performed extremely well to find themselves in third place after the Christmas period, but could certainly strengthen before the end of the month. The 22-year-old would add the attacking verve to his squad and only aid in their pushing to secure a Champions League place for next season.
