Belgium is the hotbed of European talent at present. The likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur all possess at least one in their ranks, be it in defence, midfielder or leading the front-line. Well, now you can add Swansea City to that list following the acquisition of Roland Lamah from Osasuna.
The striker arrives from the La Liga outfit on an 18 month deal after unsurprisingly impressing manager Michael Laudrup. Lamah may’ve only netted twice, not to mention two further assists, this season for Osasuna, but the fact that they’ve scored only 14 in the Primera Division this season renders his impact that more pivotal to the club.
It’s no surprise that Laudrup has raided the catacombs of the Primera Division yet again following the unmitigated success of Michu this season. While Lamah may need to reach the highets of his Spanish counterpart, he could well prove to be an astute acquisition for the Dane as he looks to strengthen ahead of the business end of the campaign.
With the blessing of Jonathan de Guzman, another who has proven to pivotal player in the Swans push up the table, the Belgian could become another bargain for Laudrup, while his versatility will prove to be an asset for the south Wales side in the hunt for a place in Europe.
