Manchester United could lose out on their young target Juan Fernando Quintero if they don’t up their game, as the youngster has revealed that a move to Inter would be preferable.
The 20-year-old has been in fine form this season in Serie A and has welcomed offers from the top European clubs, but has told us exactly where he wants to end up.
“United? No, I like Inter,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I prefer the Nerazzurri because they have a lot of South Americans at the club. And I’m happy in Italy.
“Saying that, it is clear that I would not turn down other strong teams because I’m ambitious: Manchester, Milan, Juventus…
“I’ll decide with my family and with my agent.
The youngster is believed to be valued at about £8m and could be a perfect fit for the Manchester United midfield, so should Fergie go all out to try and tempt him to Old Trafford?
The Colombian started his footballing career in his homeland and Envigado and quickly made an impact with his creativity and eye for a pass, but after 2 years and 43 appearances for the club he switched to Atletico Nacional. His stay was brief and he switched to Italy after 15 league games and 4 goals, joining Pescara.
Quintero has also received his first international cap for Colombia as he continues to impress a mass of spectators, but will we see the wee South American man in the midfield of Manchester United or Inter?
