5 of the greatest ever Premier League strikers: The creative ones (videos)

The role of the creative striker is to, of course, score goals, but more importantly to create chances for their team. The need to be technically gifted and possess remarkable close control, passing, creativity, and a certain intelligence that other positions may not desire. They are the little magicians that produce the  defence splitting balls, the tricks and flicks to create space for the finisher, and ultimately pull the strings in the attacking areas.

To kick things off, here is Manchester City‘s Carlos Tevez who has also plied his trade for West Ham and Manchester United in the Premier League. This little Argentine has almost everything you need to be considered a great creative forward, as you will soon see in this clip.

He is as strong as an ox despite his stocky frame, he has the creativity that you would expect from a South American striker, and he has the tireless work rate that you need to succeed at the very top of the game.

The bullish forward has scored 189 goals in his career so far, starting with Boca Juniors and Corinthians in his homeland. He has also earned himself 62 caps for the Argentina senior side, scoring 13 goals along the way.

Enjoy.
