Why Martin O’Neill should return to punditry (Video)
I’m not quite sure what happened with Martin O’Neill and his time at Sunderland.
He has a pretty decent track record as manager but for some reason it just wasn’t clicking for him up in Wearside and he was fired on Saturday evening following a 1-0 defeat to Manchester United.
Of course, O’Neill will take a little time out now but when he starts thinking about what to do for work then I would strongly suggest he make a return to punditry because he has always been a favourite for me.
O’Neill never minces his words which usually makes for good punditry as too many of the current crop spew out a load of waffle before making their actual point.
If not for that reason then for more moments like this one from 15 years ago when he makes Robbie Williams look like an absolute mug.
Williams is clearly affronted by O’Neill’s hilarious comments on who he thought would do best out of Take That and the best part is that O’Neill keeps going which raises the tension in the room.
