Borussia Dortmund have revealed that a move to Bayern Munich for goal-gobbler Robert Lewandowski is a no go after they snatched Mario Gotze from the the Westfolensatdion recently, but is a switch to Manchester United still an option?
Well, according to the Sun it is. They report that David Moyes and co are ready to double the Poland international’s wages to lure him to England in what will be a deal worth nearly £5m. It has been suggested that the 24-year-old will command a transfer fee of around £25.5m and the Red Devils will splash £90,000-per-week should he accept the offer.
Although he was pipped at the post in regards to the Bundesliga top scorer last season he did score a remarkable 24 in 31 in the German topflight and another 10 in the Champions League. Imagine United fans, Robin van Persie and Robert Lewandowski as your front two next season.
There has been a lot of talk about departures from the United frontline with the likes of Javier Hernandez not being happy with the lack of games he is getting, Danny Welbeck being forced into a wider role and Wayne Rooney being angry about everything, so if David Moyes secures a deal for the super Pole then it may well be funded with the money received.
