The merry-go-round in football is a magical thing. “If you let me sign this player I will be able to let this player go to this club so they can replace that player”. We are seeing a slight case of this at Chelsea at present. While Jose Mourinho chases Edinson Cavani to bulk his frontline it is thought that Barcelona are in talks to sign Fernando Torres, but the Mirror are reporting that West Ham will attempt to take Demba Ba on loan for next season.
The Hammers were the club to give Ba his chance in the Premier League back in the 2010/11 season after Stoke City cancelled the deal to take him to the Britannia, but with the east Londoners getting relegated he made the switch north to Newcastle where he enjoyed a successful spell. Then, last January, he jumped ship to Chelsea in a deal worth £7m but failed to impress those at Stamford Bridge.
West Ham are in talks with Liverpool’s Andy Carroll in regards to a permanent move to the capital after the lanky target man spent last season at Upton Park, but the deals do not rely on one another and we could be seeing both in the claret and blue next term.
Class dismissed.
