When it comes to who is the greatest of all time for the Azzurri, there would be many suitors, here are just a few.
Gianluca Vialli, the striker that made a mark, no matter where he went. He would play for some of the great teams in Europe being Juventus and Chelsea.
During the time with the Bianconeri his name would be on the score-sheet 38 times in 107 appearances. The 48 year-old veteran would make a dangerous pair with Roberto Baggio who would later be Alessandro Del Piero heir to the number 10 jersey.
For his country, Vialli would play in 59 matches and score 16 goals.
He then later moved to Chelsea teaming up with fellow country-man Gianfranco Zola in which he spent 3 seasons at the London club scoring 21 goals in 58 appearances. The Italian veteran also coached his former side along with Watford.
Vialli till this day has a soft spot for Juventus as when the Italian side were on the lookout for a manager he was first in line to be rumoured to coach them. In the end it was Antonio Conte who has made a massive improvement in the Bianconeri structure winning back to back Scudetti.
In my opinion, I could really see Vialli coaching the Azzurri one day.
