A Look At The Impatience Of England Fans

All I seem to do after an international break is write a piece about the England team, but I genuinely think we, as a fan base, are apart of the problem.

Watching the England game the other night against Ukraine – we were alright. Ukraine are a good team and we should be putting them away, but it seems now we rely on Danny Welbeck or Daniel Sturridge, otherwise we stand “no chance” of winning, which I think is ridiculous.

They’re good players, don’t get me wrong, but we’re not solely relying on them already, are we? I presume the Rickie Lambert hype will die down now he didn’t score in that one game, so it’ll probably mean another call up for Jermain Defoe, or someone.

The most infuriating thing about England fans is when we retain possession, we will start to knock the ball about between ourselves and after about thirty seconds, a chorus of boos and jeers will start from our fans. Do we really expect England to play this wonderfully fast, free-flowing football and score within a matter of seconds? If you do, you’re a moronic football fan and you shouldn’t bother supporting England, go and claim Brazil as your national team.

We simply don’t have the foundations or the infrastructure to manufacture a team to match the elite teams in world football, which is for another article. But it all intertwines and marries up. So the England players hear the jeers by their “fans” and in result, panic and end up hitting a fifty yard pass into the other teams possession or just lumping the ball into nothingness, thus resulting in more boos and whistles from the crowd.

Ahh, modern day fanism, makes you feel all warm inside at times, doesn’t it?
