After 11 games in the Premier League this season I though I would have a look at who the dirtiest players in the league were so far, based on Who Scored’s average fouls per game system.
1) Ricky Van Wolfswinkel – Norwich
The Canaries forward has done nothing to inspire this season as the club spiral down the leagues. Chris Hughton has had a hard time of late but things are starting to look up, but he will need his forward to stop fouling as he has averaged the most fouls per game in the league with 2.8.
2) Victor Wanyama – Southampton
The Southampton man has had mixed reviews so far this season since his move from Celtic and he has found it hard to keep his fouling to a minimum. He has committed 29 fouls this season which averages out to 2.6 per game.
3) Karim El Ahmadi – Aston Villa
The Villa man has a busy job in the centre of the Villa side cementing everything together. He has made 24 fouls this season, which is an average of 2.4 per appearance.
4) Patjim Kasami – Fulham
He may have scored a stunner against Crystal Palace but he’s a dirty player. He has committed 24 fouls this term, which averages to 2.4 per game.
5) Fernandinho – Manchester City
The City man has made 21 fouls so far this season which is an average of 2.3 per game.
