Manchester United have an array of top class winger on their books, but the Mirror are reporting that David Moyes is watching Sporting wide man Carlos Mane, who has established himself as one of the most exciting attackers in the Portuguese leagues.
But what can he offer Moyes and his merry band of backroom staff?
The 19-year-old is an explosive player who has the athleticism, the power and the fancy footwork that could see him rise to the very top of European football. He has the delivery and the composure in front of goal to make him a threat wherever he is on the pitch and he also has the demeanour that is needed to make a success of himself.
What I admire most about the starlet is the fact he is fearless when it comes to bursting forward. No defender worries him and it’s that confidence that he carries that has impressed so many that have watched him.
He is a player who reminds me a lot of Wilfried Zaha, who has failed to make an impact at United as of yet, as he is willing to run at opponents and try an audacious piece of skill, but unlike Zaha he can really throw a ball into the danger areas.
Again, words can only say so much, so here’s a clip of the sensational youngster.
