3 Marseille Players Who Could Hurt Arsenal Tonight In The Champions League

Arsenal take on Marseille tonight in the Champions League, and although the Ligue 1 side are already out of the competition, here are three players who still have the potential to hurt the Gunners.

1) Gianelli Imbula CM

The chunky midfielder is someone who has been linked with a move to Chelsea this season in an attempt to shake up Jose Mourinho’s midfield options, so it wouldn’t surprise me if the Blues had someone watching this tie.

He has completed almost 90% of his passes this season in Ligue 1 and scored once from his defensive slot in the middle.

2) Jordan Ayew – LM

The 22-year-old is an attacking player who loves getting in the faces of opposing full-backs. He is also capable as a striker so the Arsenal backline will need to be cautious about his movement, his speed and his composure in front of goal.

He’s only been a bit-part player so far this term but has scored once.

3) Andre-Pierre Gignac

The powerful frontman has scored six league goals this season and looked threatening throughout, but he will be up against the likes of Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny tonight so he will need to up his game.

He is capable of it, though, and will give the pair a hard time both in the air and on the floor.
