Chelsea travel to Switzerland to take on Basel in the Champions League this evening so here are three players who the Blues will have to get the better of to get a result.
1) Fabian Schar – CB
The centre-back has been linked with a move to the Premier League over the past few months and will again have the chance to prove himself on the big stage when he goes up against whoever Jose Mourinho chooses to lead his line.
He is a strong player who thrives in the air but has been known to struggle against the more nimble strikers, but considering the frontline currently at Stamford Bridge he should be okay.
2) Geoffrey Die – CM
The 29-year-old African is a domineering player who has incredible technical abilities. His pass success at present in the Champions League is 88.2% and he has controlled proceedings in the middle in the leagues.
He will be up against the likes of Juan Mata, Frank Lampard and Ramires, so he will need to up his game.
3) Marco Streller – CF
The Swiss forward scored against the Blues in the first meeting between the two back in September and John Terry will need to handle his power in the clash.
