Arsenal Agree To Sign 21-Year-Old Striker With Better Shot Accuracy Than Cristiano Ronaldo – Player Report

An early Christmas present for Arsenal fans now, as the Metro report that Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata has agreed a six-month loan deal to the Gunners when January rolls around. But who is he, and what can he offer the north London side should he arrive?

Morata is a player who has been progressing slowly through the Real Madrid youth set up for some time now and has finally established himself as a first team regular. The 21-year-old now has 30 appearances for Los Blancos and is blossoming into the player that we all thought he could become.

He is a strong player who stands at 6ft3 but he has exceptional feet for a big man. He has won 12 of his 17 attempted headed duels this season and is a man who is remarkably difficult to outmuscle, which a host of La Liga defenders will agree with.

He’s scored twice in his 10 appearances this season under Carlo Ancelotti and holds a shot accuracy of 69% – a better percentage than Cristiano Ronaldo.

Morata’s movement is also impressive, as is the way he invites team-mates into play with his hold-up skills. Having seen a great deal of the youngster this season I can comfortably say that the Spanish U21 international would be a brilliant addition to Arsene Wenger’s roster.
