THREE Reasons Why Arsenal Should Forget About Signing Real Madrid Star

We are quickly approaching the end of the year and with it comes the start of silly season. It’s as if names go into one hat, clubs go into another and the press pick them out and match them up at will in terms of transfer news. Sami Khedira is a name that keeps popping up and the Mirror are suggesting that he’s a target for either Manchester United or Arsenal, but here are three reasons why I think the Gunners should forget about it.

1) options

The north London side currently have a huge amount of talent in midfield. As well as Mathieu Flamini, Arsene Wenger has Jack Wilshere, Mikel Arteta, Aaron Ramsey and Tomas Rosicky to choose from, as well as record signing Mesut Ozil. Abou Diaby is also set to return from injury, so where would Khedira fit in?

2) Ramsey

The Wales international has been sensational this season but his best performances have come when in a central position. Wenger has sometimes opted to go more defensively and stick Ramsey on the right, and should Khedira come in it could harm his form, I feel.

3) priorities

As mentioned above, midfield is not currently a problem for Arsenal. The fact that Olivier Giroud looks like he is the only viable option up front – Bendtner’s future looks unclear and Walcott is apparently fancied as a winger – I feel as though Wenger should be splashing money on a big name striker.
