Manchester United Linked With Bundesliga Pair – But Where Would They Fit In?

If you believe the reports in the Metro, David Moyes has a pair of Bundesliga players on his radar for the summer. The players in question are Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus and Bayern Munich’s Toni Kroos, but where would they fit in at Manchester United?

With Moyes preferring two up top and Wayne Rooney supposedly in talks over a new deal, it looks as though the striker berths are sorted, with Robin van Persie, Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck all at the club.

The pair are midfielders though, so it would be a case of fitting them into two a four man midriff. Adnan Januzaj is pretty much secured a spot on the left because of his form this season, and when Michael Carrick is fit he is the main man in the midfield.

Kroos would be my choice in the other central spot, as he is a player who can play box to box, can hold the ball and has a passing accuracy to challenge even the best ball-players in Europe. He has an energy about him that would enthuse his colleagues and a creative eye that would bring the best out of the forwards.

Reus is a very different player. He is all about the movement, the threaded balls and the shots from range and is one of the most creative players currently on the big stage. For me, I would have Reus on the right, Juan Mata just behind the striker and Wayne Rooney leading the line.

My front six would look something like this, should they sign.

                Carrick Kroos

     Reus       Mata       Januzaj

                   Rooney
