Moyes’ £150m Kitty: 3 Players I Would Try To Sign With War-Chest

With Manchester United currently sitting in seventh place in the Premier League, reports suggest that David Moyes will be given a summer kitty of £150m to rejuvinate the club. Here are three players who I would spend the money on.

1) Ivan Rakitic – Sevilla

For me United need a staple in the middle of their side, and someone who is a willing runner from box to box. One man that stands out is Rakitic, who can defend, score and assist, and therefore has the potential to make a real difference to the Old Trafford side.

He has 12 goals and 12 assists to his name, but he’s a player who can bring the best out of others, and perhaps most importantly gel the midfield to the strikers.

2) Eliaquim Magala – Porto

With Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic and Jonny Evans currently injured, Manchester United are facing a small backline crisis right now. The former two are also out of contract in the summer, along with Rafael and Patrice Evra, so Moyes is in need of a defensive re-shuffle, and for me this is the man they should be structuring their future around.

Still only 22, the France international is a strong yet nimble player who has a proven record when it comes to playing it out from the back. With him at the heart of the defence and Phil Jones beside him, as well as Chris Smalling in reserve, United would could have one of the most exciting centre-back pairings for years to come.

3) Marco Reus – Borussia Dortmund

I would also base my attack around this player, as well as the silky outlets Juan Mata and Shinji Kagawa, and really let them get at opponents with their inventiveness.

Reus can play anywhere in attack and is such a unique player, being able to drift in and out of opponents and being able to strike a ball from distance.

For me, these three would make United a real force again.
