Arsenal Won’t Win The Premier League This Season – Opinion

After being demolished by Liverpool on Saturday, some critics are starting to question Arsenal’s title credentials. But are they right? Or Was that performance just a bad day at the office?

It may be controversial but I don’t believe for one second that Arsenal have a chance of winning the Premier League and the best they can hope for is fourth. Yes, fourth. Some People think the Gunners have improved greatly and, to some extent, I would agree, but perhaps only against lesser opposition. When they come up against quality oppositions they are still struggling to get anything from the games.

So far this season the only thing they have improved on, in my opinion, is picking up more points against the likes of Swansea, Newcastle and the mid-table opposition. However, against stronger opponents they have struggled.

They lost to Manchester City, Liverpool,  Manchester United, they drew with Chelsea and beat Liverpool at home. They have only picked up four points in four games against the three teams which are their main rivals, and in my eyes that is not good enough.

Even in the Champions League they struggled against the teams of decent quality – they picked up six points from 12 against Napoli and Borussia Dortmund, which is by no means a poor return,  but they certainly rode their luck.

In the Premier league they are still to face Man City at home and then Chelsea away, and they will have done  very well to pick up a single point from these games. That’s not to mention the Gunners are also scheduled to face Spurs and Everton away.

Not buying properly in January is also proving far too costly I think, as this looks as though it is their best chance they have had to win the Premier League title in 9 years. For this, I would blame Arsene Wenger.

Don’t shoot me down, but these are my reasons why I feel Arsenal will find themselves trophy-less again this summer.
