Forward With 19 Goals In 17 Games Reveals Arsenal Offer – Could He Cut It At The Emirates?

Sky Sports has reported that Rubin Kazan’s 19-year-old forward Sardar Azmoun, claims there is an offer on the table for him from Arsenal.

The young forward has been dubbed ‘The Iranian Messi’ and is believed to have solid offers from Serie A duo AC Milan and Juventus as well the Gunners.

Barcelona were also believed to have put an offer in for the talented youngster, although with their recent transfer ban, they have dropped out of the picture.

Azmoun is looking to make the move to the next level this summer, with Rubin Kazan sitting tenth in the Russian League and going out to Real Betis in the Europa League second round.

I understand that he is an exciting talent, but his stats would make me doubt whether he is ready for the step up to Serie A and certainly the Premier League.

In his 10 League appearances this season, he has scored three goals and he is yet to complete a full 90 minutes. I would hardly call that setting the league on fire.

However, at Under 20 level internationally he has an unbelievable record for Iran, with 19 goals in 17 appearances. He is yet to be called up to the senior team.

In my opinion he is a talent for the future, but I think he still has a lot of developing to do and I don’t see how he is what Arsenal need right now in a striker.
