A lot has been said about the selection of strikers currently available to Jose Mourinho. Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto’o and Demba Ba are probably the weakest front line of any club in the top eight or nine places in the Premier League, and many expect this to received a reshuffle in the summer. Demba Ba is determined to leave the club, or at least according to the Mirror.
After scoring a late goal against Paris Saint Germain in the Champions League, the reports say that the Senegalese forward now wants to join the club.
As a Chelsea fan, I say he should be allowed to leave. He has offered next to nothing this season and is one of the least effective players I have seen at Stamford Bridge for a long time.
This season he has played 20 games this season between the Premier League and Champions League, and has scored seven goals, but is nowhere near good enough to help us win the league.
I think we need a big name striker in the shape of Diego Costa or Edinson Cavani, so to ship out Ba to make room makes sense to me. If he wants to go, then let him.
Blues, do you agree?
