Manchester United Legend SLAMS Players After Moyes Departure – Why He Is Right To Do So

Roy Keane has never been one to mince his words. The former Republic of Ireland and Manchester United midfielder has always worn his heart on his sleeve, regardless of what people, and in particular his own fans, think of him. And he has been quick to point the finger at the current Red Devils squad in terms of David Moyes’ departure from the club.

The former United skipper has blamed the players and said they should be ashamed of themselves, and I agree with this 100%.

Forget Moyes and his tactics, there wasn’t one game in which I thought the United squad gave it their all and they never really fought for their manager.

The desire was gone, the belief had gone too, and the club was a shadow of its former self. For me, that means the players need to take a long look at themselves.

Replacing Sir Alex Ferguson was never going to be easy, but it required the entire club to pull together and get behind the new man whoever it was.

Moyes has to take some blame, obviously, but he could only pick the team. The players had to go out and work for him, and they didn’t do it.
