Mario Balotelli is a player who divides opinion. Some see him as an underrated talent, whose off-field antics are just another string to his imaginative bow, while others have completely written him off as another wasted star, as a result of his misdemeanours.
One things is for sure, he’s worth a lot of money, and he also scores a lot of goals. His name is now being linked with a move to Arsenal or Tottenham, but what could he offer the north London pair?
We know he is hard to tame, but for me that makes him a more difficult opponent. Still only 23, the Italy international has over 200 club appearances spread across Inter, Manchester City and AC Milan, and has nine major trophies to his name.
He also has 12 goals in 29 games for the Italy senior side.
Balotelli is a player who is capable of the spectacular but is incredibly frustrating at times. He works hard if the manager treats him correctly and is strong in the air, and is more than comfortable from the spot.
Since his return to the San Siro, he has scored 30 goals in 51 appearances.
Whether Arsene Wenger or the future Spurs boss has what it takes to control him is another argument, but he certainly has the talent to make an impact in north London.
