Liverpool Star MUST Stick To His Word – Here’s Why

What a difference 12 months make. In April last year, Luis Suarez hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons when he took a bite out of Branislav Ivanovic’s arm during a Premier League clash between Liverpool and Chelsea.

Everybody, including his own fans saw this act as unforgivable and the Uruguay star then pushed for a move away from Anfield despite the club standing by him during this difficult time.

Roll forward to now and the 27-year-old has had a season to remember. Leading marksman in the top-flight, PFA player of the year and challenging for the Premier League trophy. The form and attitude of Suarez reflects the feel-good factor surrounding Anfield and he has indicated that his future lies on Merseyside.

Brendan Rodgers is able to guarantee his star player Champions League football next season, but how will Suarez react when the powerhouses of European football place big money offers for his services?

It’s not often the likes of Real Madrid come calling and surely it would be a dream for Suarez to play alongside players such as current Ballon d’Or holder Cristiano Ronaldo.

Hopefully Suarez will stand by his word and give the red half of Merseyside the loyalty that they deserve. Many sets of supporters would never have given Suarez a second opportunity to prove himself. He is without a doubt one of the finest footballers on the planet. Let’s hope he can take his breathtaking form into the World Cup – apart from in his country’s opening game.
