Arsenal Linked With Swansea Star – THREE Reasons Why Gunners Must Make A Move

The jump in quality from the Dutch topflight to the Premier League is vast. The quality is higher, the tempo is quicker and players need a mental toughness that some other leagues do not necessarily call for. One player who has managed to impress since the transition is Wilfried Bony, who left Vitesse for Swansea in the summer. His good season has seen him linked with Arsenal, so here are three reasons why he would be a good fit for the Gunners.

1) Big games

Arsenal have struggled in the big games this season, their record against those in around them in the league is appalling to look at as a Gunner. Bony is someone who thrives in the pressure games.

This season he has scored against Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham Liverpool and Arsenal, which goes some way to proving he is a big time player.

2) Experienced

Although he is only 25, Bony is a 23-time international and has over 200 club appearances to his name, with 110 goals and another eight for Ivory Coast.

Arsenal can continue to develop players, but experience is vital on this stage.

3) Physical presence

Like Giroud, he’s a strong player who likes to use his power to open up gaps and pull opponents out of position. He’s good in the air, able on the deck and can win the flick ons for the quicker players in the side.
