THREE Reasons Why Chelsea MUST Offer Lampard A New Deal

Frank Lampard is said to be on the brink of joining New York City after being released by Chelsea. However, here are three reasons why I would suggest that the Blues should offer him another year.

1) Experience

They don’t come much more experienced than Lampard and that’s not something you can necessarily buy. The England international has played 844 career club games, 648 of which have come at Chelsea, and scored 251 goals.

He knows what it takes to win – he has helped Chelsea to 13 major trophies and has over 100 caps for England.

2) Goals

Lampard is one of the most impressive goalscoring midfielders in European football and is one of the most effective when it comes to arriving in the box at the right time. There are few players who have the same effect as him in front of goal that aren’t out and out strikers.

3) Last season

He proved last season that he still has enough in his locker to make an impact in the Premier League. Despite being 35 Lampard scored six in 26 league games and made 34 chances. He also made 13 in the Champions League and completed 85% of his passes.
