Liverpool: FOUR Players That Could Follow £9.75m Midfielder Into Anfield

With talks of Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Emre Can supposedly joining Liverpool this summer in a deal worth £9.75m, here are four players that could follow him into Anfield.

1) Adam Lallana – Southampton

There has been plenty of talk about the Southampton midfielder joining Rickie Lambert at Anfield ahead of next season and I expect it to happen after the World Cup. For what it’s worth, I think it would be a very shrewd move by Rodgers.

2) Steven Caulker – Cardiff

He is a powerful, bullish centre-half with the ball control of a central midfielder. He is a sensational player and is an England international but finds himself in the Championship with Cardiff right now. I think he could go some way to shoring up the leaky Liverpool defence.

3) Ashley Cole – Free

Cole ticks all the boxes as far as I am concerned. Liverpool need a left-back and Cole has been one of the best in that position for over a decade. He is still a top quality player and I think he should be high up on the list on Rodgers’ radar.

4) Will Hughes – Derby

The young playmaker missed out on promotion to the Premier League with Derby this season as Queens Park Rangers beat them 1-0 in the play-off final last month. Hughes has undoubted talent and I think he now deserves his shot in a Premier League midfield.
