Chelsea Continue To Be Linked With Juventus Midfielder – Why He Could Move To Stamford Bridge

Having taken the decision to leave Manchester United in 2012, Paul Pogba is now one of the most sought after midfielders in Europe.  Less than a year after switching to Juventus the player made his debut for his country, with the France international currently representing Les Bleus at the World Cup in Brazil.

Pogba only turned 21 in March, meaning that he should have plenty of years left playing at the top level.  The Bianconeri had finally gotten their hands back on the Scudetto just prior to the midfielder’s arrival in Turin, and he has since helped them retain it twice.

According to the London Evening Standard, Chelsea are interested in bringing the Frenchman back to the Premier League.  Instead of limiting him to substitute appearances as United did to a more youthful Pogba, however, the Blues would be intent on making him an integral part of their side.

Despite the 21-year-old’s agent recently suggesting that his client was happy in Italy, the chance to compete in England’s top flight has a habit of turning players’ heads.  A reported fee of around £60 million is what Jose Mourinho would have to consider in order to add Pogba to his team, as well as convincing the young star that Chelsea is the right club for him.

Should the move come off, the Blues would be getting one of the brightest prospects in Europe and someone who could help them continue to challenge for their first Premier League title since 2010.
