Wales midfielder Aaron Ramsey scored an injury time winner as Arsenal came back from behind to beat Crystal Palace by 2-1 as the Gunners ensured that they would start their 2014-15 EPL campaign with a win.
Arsenal had fallen behind in the first half when new Eagles’ signing and former Fulham star Brade Hangeland nodded in from a corner as Laurent Koscielny failed to man mark his opposition. The French defender however atoned for his mistake just moments from the first half as he headed home a brilliantly taken setpiece from Chilean Alexis Sanchez.
Arsenal did up the tempo in the second half but failed to strike a decisive goal till Ramsey slotted home to send the Emirates faithful on a merry dance.
This was Arsenal’s 100th league game win at the Emirates as Ramsey continued his rich haul of form. This was the 23 year old’s third goal in Arsenal’s last four league games. However the Gunners were far from their incisive best and need to significantly improve if they are to mount a serious Premier League title challenge this season.
