Daniel Sturridge remains the focal point of the attack of the team and with Raheem Sterling and Phillipe Coutinho pulling the strings in midfield, the Reds are however is desperate need of an out and out striker who can have at least a significant impact leading the line up front. Reports from the LIVERPOOL Echo have mentioned that Brendan Rodgers still has interest in the €55m rated Colombian sensation Radamel Falcao from French side Monaco.

Falcao is now back to full fitness after missing out on the World Cup in Brazil and has been already touted with a move to Champions League winners Real Madrid. Falcao is also said to have his heart set on a move to the Spanish capital but with the Galacticos already spending around £90m this summer on James Rodriguez, Toni Kroos and Keylor Navas, Falcao’s move could be stalled.

Liverpool are trying to take advantage of the situation and are in constant talks with the player, reported by DAILY MAIL. The reports cites that Serie A champions Juventus like the idea of a loan deal and are considering the sale of Fernando Llorente to Valenciato make breakthrough on their pursuit of concluding the deal. Llorente although is not overly keen to leave the Old Lady. Football Italia also mention that  the club would first have to raise funds for an initial  €20m payment if asked by Monaco. This would definitely mean Arturo Vidal is moving to Manchester United.

Should Liverpool be able to snatch Flacao from the clutches of the other potential suitors, it would be a bold statement meaning which they can challenge for the Premier League Title amidst Champions League appearances.
