Press Conference: Jose Mourinho Reacts To Cristiano Ronaldo To Chelsea Rumours

It was a typical press conference from Jose Mourinho ahead of Chelsea’s clash against Swansea City. Mourinho when asked about the rumours of Cristiano Ronaldo to Chelsea, said: “forget it” the next second. His exact words when the journalist asked the question was  “Pfff… forget it.”, which pretty much settles the truth behind it.

It was Daily Express, who came up with the report earlier this week that Jose Mourinho has thrown his hat into the ring after forming a close-bond with the 29-year-old Portuguese start during their time together in the Spanish capital. It looks like the British Media has picked up the rumour out of thin air with no backings to their claim.

The pair had worked together for three years but it looks like the compatriots may not be seen together anytime soon. Other than that, Mourinho offered his weekly update on the team news and his views regarding Cahill’s promotion as a vice-captain for England. The manager was full off praises for his center back.

Regarding the team news, it looks like Diego Costa will undergo a late fitness test before confirming his involvement against the Swans.

‘As you know, Diego Costa came back injured, but that was last Saturday so we’ve had one week to work hard with the medical department,’

‘He has a chance to play tomorrow. We have a training session now to confirm his condition and to make a final decision, but he was the only one that came back from their national team with a problem.’

The Ronaldo question part of the interview comes around 7:35:

Chelsea are yet to drop a point this campaign and will look to continue with their 100% record when they take on the Swans, who are the only remaining team apart from the Blues to take maximum points after the first three games.
