Let’s just start with this tweet posted by Skynews anchor Eamonn Holmes after the game.
Walked past The United dressing room post match ….let's just say I wouldn't have liked to have been on the receiving end of LVG ! V Loud.

Manchester United were cruising to a 3-1 victory after taking the lead twice in the game against newly promoted side Leicester City with only 30 minutes left on the clock. But what happened after that, was a horrible show from the Red Devils and beyond Leicester’s wildest dreams. The Foxes turned the game from 3-1 to 5-3 in just over twenty minutes and took all three points against United for the first time since 1998. The scoreline reflects Manchester United’s dismal backline and to make things worst, this has been the first time that the Red Devils are conceding 5 goals to lose a game in the Premier League era.
Understandably, LVG wasn’t happy with his side’s performance. During the post match press conference, he slammed his side for their terrible show.
“How is it possible to give this game away? We have given the game away.
“Leicester has proven already in four games that they have a strong character and that when they are 3-1 down, you can play all the game with more possession but you cannot do these kind of things.
For all the offensive signings Manchester United have made, it was a blunder from Woodward and LVG to oversee their troubles at the back. From the glorious days of Vidic and Ferdinand partnership, United are now looking upto youngster Blackett and inconsistent performers Evans and Smalling to do the job.
“You never expect it when you are 3-1 ahead, for the second time two goals ahead, then you have to kill the game and you have to keep possession.
“But we could not do that and then of course you gave it away with penalties. Then you cannot win a game any more when you do that.”
Further, Dailymail’s Jamie Redknapp questions about van Gaal’s tactical credibility.
They had no Champions League in the week and plenty of time to work on their defensive system. There were no excuses and to concede five goals against a newly promoted club is appalling, asks Redknapp as he reviews the weekend action.
Manchester United are yet to play the so called top four teams and still they are standing at a lowly 12th place after picking up just 5 points after 5 games. Has LVG got it wrong with his tactics or is it simply because of the lack of proper signings at the back?
