Massive Injury Boost For Liverpool As World Class Real Madrid Winger Is Set To Miss Anfield Clash

Gareth Bale to miss Anfield game

Bale made the substitutes bench in Madrid’s last game against Levante but did not participate due to a reported buttock muscle injury. The Welsh international also sat out during Monday’s training. The club revealed on their website, “After tests carried out on Gareth Bale by the Real Madrid Sanitas medical services, he has been diagnosed with a muscular injury in the right pyramidalis muscle. His progress will be monitored.”

The situation will come as a blow for Carlo Ancelotti as his side will face Liverpool and Barcelona in the span of a week. The clash against Barcelona will be even more significant as Real Madrid find themselves 4 points behind the Blaugrana, so a defeat will leave them 7 points adrift.

Bale has been in good form this season, but has been overshadowed by Cristiano Ronaldo who is simply scoring for fun. The Portuguese international broke a 71-year La Liga record as he scored 15 goals in the first eight matches of the season.

Sergio Ramos to miss the clash too

Addidng to Gareth Bale’s absence will be Spanish defender Sergio Ramos who will miss the game as he has stepped up his rehabilitation to get fit in time for the El Clasico.

Ramos has been out since October 5th with a calf injury and will not be facing the 5-time European Cup winners on Wednesday as reported by Marca. The 27-year old was absent in Monday’s training which pretty much means that he wont travel to England and will remain with Pedro Chueca, his physiotherapist.
